Syracuse success continues at 2026 USBC Open Championships as Ryan Bertrand fires 2,197 to take all-events lead

A day after fellow Syracuse area bowlers Dean Distin, Michael Tryniski, and Derek Magno lit up the National Bowling Stadium lanes, Ryan Bertrand followed suit. The 34-year-old right-hander fired 721 (247-250-224) in team, 753 (278-258-217) in doubles, and 723 (232-300-191) in singles for 2,197 all-events to move past the prior leading total of 2,167 by Robert Oakleaf Jr., who still leads singles with 816, USBC reported in this news release.
