The Wisconsin District 4 High School Bowling season kicked off Monday at Ten Pin Alley in Fitchburg.
Eleven boys teams and five girls teams are competing this year, meaning there are byes for both groups each week. Last season, there were 11 and six teams, and the season before, there were 12 and six.
The competition features nine games of Baker format each week.
For the boys, Monona Grove got 10 points and is tied for first with Sun Prairie, which had the first-week bye. Waunakee is next...
