When Robert J. “Bobby” Bures walked off the lanes at the National Bowling Stadium on March 15, it was hard to know what to make of his 815 in singles and 2,122 in all-events that were leading the 2016 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships.
With lane patterns very similar to the 2015 Open Championships, the 815 was 22 pins higher and the 2,122 was 104 pins lower than last year’s Eagle winning scores.
