Back when I started bowling the Wisconsin State USBC Bowling Association Championships — aka the State Tournament — in the late 1970s, conditions typically were difficult and scores low.
My teammate John Wittkowske won the all-events one year with 1,900, which is mind boggling when you consider what 1,900 gets you these days — perhaps not your entry fee back!
