Arizona State junior Jakob Butturff beat recent Wichita State graduate Francois Lavoie to win the New Mexico Open on Sunday.
Butturff, 21, of Chandler, Arizona, became the youngest and richest prize-winner in the 12-year history of the New Mexico Open, which was held at Tenpins & More in Rio Rancho, proprietor Steve Mackie reported.
Butturff also became the third southpaw to win, and the first since 2010 when former Team USA member and recent USBC President Andrew Cain ran the stepladder....
