Sunday’s PBA50 Tony Grigat Allstate Agent Open Regional at Fox Bowl in the Chicago suburb of Wheaton was a grindfest of epic proportions.
The qualifying was a plain old grind, with the cut to the top 12 for match play taking 1,378 for seven games and the leader being 1,482. Tough, yes. Epic tough, no.
But the eight games of round-robin match play were as brutal as anything I have experienced in my long PBA career.
