Chad Nelson, who finished second last year to Dave Langer, defeated Jared Bushman 256-206 to win the Chippewa Valley Match Games over the weekend at Wagner’s Lanes in Eau Claire. It was Nelson’s third win in the tournament. First was $1,500 and second $900 in the 57th annual CVMG. The field of 114 bowlers competed on a modified Kegel Sunset Strip pattern and the cut to the top 24 after qualifying was 1,639 for eight games.
