Jeff Grego stepped up for his final frame on Saturday two strikes away from the first 800 series of 2014 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships.
He got the first strike, then went high and left a 3-pin to miss 800, but can’t be too disappointed as his 798 (231-288-279) gave him the lead in singles by 10 over prior leader Derek Magno, USBC reported.
