John Jowdy, who died Thursday morning of natural causes after living a full and rich 93 years, was a member of numerous Halls of Fame, but the legacy he left was all the bowlers in Halls of Fame who got there in part because of his coaching.
I count myself among those. In fact, I am dead certain I would not have made the USBC Hall of Fame without the huge influence John had on my bowling career.
