Alex Aguiar and Brian LeClair fired 1,422 on Saturday to take the doubles lead at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev.
Aguiar blasted games of 265, 278 and 237 for a 780 that I believe is the highest doubles series of the tournament, and LeClair added 246, 193 and 203 for 642.
Joe Keltner and Chris Greene had held the lead for several weeks with 1,403 and Joe Conti Jr. and Derek Magno later tied the 1,403.
