Rick Thomas fired a 2,051 all-events total over the weekend to take the lead in the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships in Reno, USBC reported. Thomas, who operates the pro shop at Sport Bowl in Middleton, fired 737 in team, 667 in doubles and 647 in singles to move past Michael Henry’s 1,948 for the lead in the opening weekend of the tournament.
