The United States Bowling Congress took a lot of grief last year for charging fees of 2 percent for registering for the 2013 Open Championships online and 5 percent offline. For example, I paid $1,836 to register our two teams online — $1,800 in entry fees at $180 per bowler plus the 2 percent fee of $36.
