This is where I insert my obligatory "there is no such thing as an amateur in bowling" statement — junior bowlers win money (in the form of scholarship funds) these days so you tell me who isn't a professional in bowling.
But the Bowling Writers Association of America still names Amateur Bowlers of the Year and we all get what they mean. The best non-professional organization members.
