I’ve been meaning to write more about the lane pattern for the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships, but I can’t figure out what to write. One report says there was a good shot starting close to 10-board. Another says the shot is out closer to 5-board. Guys who usually hammer the tourney have struggled terribly. And first-timers, who you would think would struggle, have bowled well. One person tells me the Showcase Lanes play totally different than the tournament...
