No shockers at Pan Am Games as Team USA sweeps doubles gold

In a result reminiscent of the Dream Team winning the gold medal in basketball at the 1992 Olympics, Team USA swept the doubles gold medals at the Pan American Games on Tuesday. Chris Barnes (2,698 for 12 games) and Bill O'Neill (2,513) totaled 5,211 to finish 193 pins ahead of second for the men, while Liz Johnson (2,633) and Kelly Kulick (2,624) totaled 5,257 to top the women's field by 328 pins, the United States Bowling Congress reported....
