Update: I added the PDF of the USBC Static Weight Study to the bottom of this story. Some interesting reading and a video that shows a ball with extreme static weight backing up after initially hooking. Anyone who bowls seriously or follows bowling seriously knows that static weight (within the rules) means essentially nothing in ball motion these days.
