Walter Ray Williams Jr. and Patrick Allen smashed the Pan
American Bowling Confederation Men's Championships doubles record
on Tuesday, the United States Bowling Congress reported.
Allen fired 1,461 for six games and Williams 1,456 for a 2,917
total (243.0 average), winning the gold medal and topping the prior
record of 2,788 set in 2009 by Team USA's Chris Barnes and Tommy
Jones.
