McNiel's team event 745 gives him a realistic shot at bowling history
<span id="gallery-cutline">Matt McNiel owns the all-events record at the USBC Open Championships with the 2,326 he rolled in 2010 at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev. He followed that up with 2,241 at the same facility in 2011, easily establishing the two-year record. </span>
No bowler has ever repeated as all-events champ at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships (formerly the American Bowling Congress Tournament). Only four bowlers have ever won all-events twice, the most recent being Frank Santore in 1950 and 1953, according to USBC records.
