I've had three wrist operations, cortisone shots in my back and
hip, and hurt a lot on Monday mornings after long weekends of
bowling — and that was the case when I was 28, not 48.
My wrist problems stem from breaking it when I was 10 years old
and not going to the doctor for about 10 days, but without
thousands of games of bowling I doubt I'd ever have needed
surgery.
