Daugherty overtakes Palermaa for PBA Tournament of Champions lead

One-handed no-thumber Tom Daugherty passed two-handed no-thumber
Osku Palermaa for the lead Wednesday at the PBA Tournament of
Champions in Las Vegas, as as the top 53 prepared to bowl one more
round Thursday before the field is cut to the top 24 for match
play.
Daugherty, a former touring player whose best career PBA Tour
finish is sixth, totaled 6,182 (228.96 average) for the first 27
