Richard Ness won the PBA Midwest Region St Charles (Mo.) Lanes Challenger Open for non-PBA champions over the weekend. Ness, who earned $1,600, totaled 4,430, 62 pins ahead of runner-up Brian Valenta, who won $1,000. Jeff Taylor of Madison placed 11th at 3,989 to earn $525.
