It's not too often that a bowler can start with two opens in
three frames and very nearly win an eagle in singles at the United
States Bowling Congress Open Championships.
But when you reel off 28 straight strikes, you gain back a lot
of ground lost by the two opens -- even if you never record a spare
in your series.
