With 63 of 67 players advancing to match play after Thursday's
semifinals of the United States Bowling Congress Masters, there was
little suspense for most of the field.
In the end, all of the Midwest bowlers made it, including Lennie
Boresch Jr. of Kenosha -- who had a 299 in the first round -- and
frequent Madison Area Scratch Tour competitors from the Chicago
area Andrew Loose and Paul Bober.
