I first saw Derek Hartnell bowl a few years ago at the State High School Bowling Championships at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes in Madison and his talent was clear then. My buddy and old teammate John Peterson of Kenosha told me he was a great young bowler and he wasn't exaggerating. Hartnell now is a 22-year-old Newman University senior and one of the best college bowlers in the country....
