An amazing 116 bowlers competed Saturday in the top two scratch
tours in Wisconsin, showing that scratch bowling is far from dead
-- at least in Wisconsin.
The Madison Area Scratch Tour drew 59 bowlers at Bowl-A-Vard
Lanes in Madison, with Rick Thomas beating Justin Fryer 224-190 in
the championship match to earn his 10th title. First was $512 and
second $256 as 16 bowlers cashed.
