Bowling was the fourth most popular participation sport in
theU.S. in 2008, according to the latest survey by the
NationalSporting Goods Association.
Exercise walking stayed No. 1, where it
has been since 1990,with 96.6 million participants.
Swimming was second at 63.5 million, just ahead of the
63.4million who exercise with equipment.
