In his appearance on BowlTV during the first round of qualifying on Tuesday night, USBC lane pattern designer Nick Hoagland said he thought the 35-foot pattern used in the third round would be the lowest scoring pattern of the 2026 U.S. Open at Royal Pin Woodland in Indianapolis.
