Update: Nov. 21, 2024:
The mystery of the author of the SMART complaint to the SEC was solved when the author emailed me while I was in Las Vegas for the South Point Senior Shootout and Super Senior Shootout.
He is Michael Duncombe and he is the founder and president of Scholarships 4 Us. Duncombe said he first saw this article on Nov. 14.

The complaint calls it “A ‘SMART’ scheme” and describes it as “A case of the United States Bowling Congress and SMART Bowling Scholarship Funding Corporation’s willful intent to swindle youth bowlers’ entitled prize funds for their own benefit.”
