The collective dominance of E.J. Tackett, Anthony Simonsen, and Jason Belmonte in 2023 prompted PBA Tour Commissioner Tom Clark to liken it to the era of the Big 3 — Earl Anthony, Mark Roth and Marshall Holman — in the 1970s and early 1980s.
