Dave Beres, Chris Pierson and Matt Hibbard won the 2023 3-Person Scratch Tournament Benefitting the Prairie Lanes Junior Scholarship Fund at Prairie on Saturday.

"We want to again thank everyone who came out to the tournament yesterday and for your generous support for the youth bowling program.  Between tournament entries, brackets, side pots, and raffles, we raised $2,780 and all of it will go towards scholarships for the junior bowlers!  We cannot thank you enough!!

A full field of 28 teams competed on the 2023 High School National Championship pattern.  After 3 traditional games and 6 baker games for qualifying, the cut to make match play was +247. The team of Cam Crowe, Lucas Hersrud, & Zach Greim led qualifying at +402 and received a 1st round bye for the match play finals.

Beres/Pierson/Hibbard took home $1,500 for the win, and Ritchie/Krueger/Steimle received $690 for 2nd place.   Third and fourth received $345 and 5th-7th received $255. 

Congratulations to Tim Morris on winning the Storm DNA and Chad Kuehmichel on winning the Motiv Black Venom in the bowling ball raffle.  We also had 3 winners in the cash raffle, winning $150, $100, and $86, respectively.

Thank you to Storm Bowling, MOTIV Bowling, and Coachz Pro Shop LLC for all of your support for junior bowling and donating the bowling balls, and thanks to Ross Bussan and the Prairie Lanes Staff for hosting!  Brittany and I would also like to recognize John Breunig and Cher Breunig for all the work and time they give to run the junior bowling program and coach these great kids; thanks for allowing us to be a small part of this wonderful program.  And finally, thank you to everyone that came out to bowl and support not only the tournament, but junior bowling program as well.  We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!"
