Sharon Powers took a 31-pin lead after Saturday’s first two rounds of qualifying at the 2022 USBC Senior Queens at the Gold Coast in Las Vegas. The 65-year-old right-hander rolled games of 247, 202, 227, 269 and 204 for 1,149 in the first round and 215, 258, 204, 179 and 256 for 1,112 in the second round for a 2,261 10-game total (226.1 average).
