PBA bans urethane balls more than 2 calendar years old for PBA Tour competition
The PBA has banned all urethane bowling balls more than 2 calendar years old for PBA Tour competition only, starting after this weekend's PBA Mark Roth/Marshall Holman Doubles Championship, according to an email sent to PBA Tour players obtained by 11thFrame.com. What that means is no urethane ball made before 2020 can be used past 2022, none made before 2021 can be used past 2023, none made before 2022 can be used past 2024, and so forth.
