Before the 2021 USBC Open Championships began on May 1, I wrote this story based on USBC lane pattern designer Nick Hoagland’s April 22, 2020 appearance on USBC’s “Inside the OC Podcast” in which he talked about a wide variety of issues, including designing lane patterns for USBC tournaments.
