A season of far less bowling due to the COVID-19 pandemic has produced plenty of big scores, topped by two near-misses of Dan Swenson’s Madison Area USBC record 878 series: Chris Pollentier’s 876 and Curtis Bohler’s 874.

Those big scores continued over the last week of individual certified play in the Madison Area USBC, as Mike Krachey fired 845 (279-300-266), Bradley Thompson 836 (269-267-300), Chris Smith 761, and Kristy Werronen 759 (247-279-235).

Tom Smyth slammed 834 (267-299-268), and the two who threatened Swenson’s record were back at it with Pollentier rolling an 812 featuring his 24th perfect and Bohler recording 804 (237-278-289).

Don Dudley fired a perfect game in a 740 series.

Mary Lo had a pair of 700s with 716 (200-269-247) and 702 (258-212-232), and Cher Breunig continued her strong season with a 712.

These scores come from reports to me, Facebook reports or scores printed in the Wisconsin State Journal.
