The 1998 USBC Open Championships (then the ABC Tournament) were a big deal for our 2-team group as it was the first time our current group (with only one change since and this year's expansion) had bowled together. We were maybe half an hour from taking the lanes for team event at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno when the power went out. We later were told a squirrel had gotten into a transformer and knocked out power for much of the downtown. The power did not come on for almost three...
