With 2018 U.S. Open runner-up finish, Jakob Butturff jumps into top 8 in PBA earnings to qualify for PBA Clash

There isn’t much consolation to losing the U.S. Open title match for a second straight year after earning the top seed by more than 500 pins.
But Jakob Butturff’s runner-up finish on Wednesday night did provide a consolation: qualifying for the PBA Clash special TV show that will air Dec. 23 and serve as a preview for FOX’s coverage of the PBA Tour in 2019.
As I detailed in this story, the Clash won’t count for a PBA Tour title, but first prize is $25,000.
