PBA tournaments at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater, Ohio, have a reputation for being grindouts, and this year’s PBA Xtra Frame Kenn-Feld Group Classic certainly lived up to that reputation in Saturday’s qualifying.
The cut to the top 32 for Sunday’s cashers round in the 95-player field took just 1,561 for eight games, a 195.12 average, while leader Dick Allen totaled 1,771, a relatively low 221.38 average for a leader.
