While Stuart Williams was cruising to the qualifying lead of the 2018 United States Bowling Congress Masters on Thursday, great drama was playing out in the battle for the final spots in the 64-player double-elimination match play bracket.
The English right-hander and PBA Tour champion will face Ramon Hilferink of the Netherlands in the first round of match play Friday at the Oncenter in Syracuse, N.Y.
