Joshua Volk’s 744 isn’t going to win the singles Eagle at the 2018 USBC Open Championships.
But the 30-year-old right-hander from Jamestown, New York, gets to enjoy the limelight for a day after firing that total on Saturday to take the lead.
After 530 in team and 541 in doubles, Volk fired games of 290, 208 and 246 at the Oncenter in Syracuse to surpass the 725 of prior leader Andrew Burke, the United States Bowling Congress reported.
