The Sun Prairie boys coasted to the championship of Madison area high school bowling, and Sauk Prairie/Poynette and Monona Grove also advanced to the State Tournament as Week 13 on Monday at Ten Pin Alley concluded the regular season for Wisconsin District 4 High School Bowling.
The girls finished after Week 12 and their results are in this story. Monona Grove qualified for the State Tournament in Division 2 and Sun Prairie in Division 1.
Eleven boys varsity, three boys junior varsity, and four girls teams are competing this year. For varsity only, there were 11 and five last season, and prior to that it was 11 and six, and 12 and six.
The competition features nine games of Baker format each week.
The Sun Prairie boys ended the season with 117.5 points, Sauk Prairie/Poynette was second at 89.5, La Follette third at 82 and Monona Grove fourth with 81.5.
Sun Prairie and Sauk Prairie/Poynette made State in Division 1 and Monona Grove in Division 2.

For boys on Monday, Sun Prairie had the high series and game with 2,116 and 269.
Three boys led in fill percentage at 100 percent: Quinn Sheehy and Collin Krachey of Sun Prairie, and Joe Paske of DeForest.
For the season, Sheehy led with 93.01 percent.
Singles tournament champion Sheehy and the next five boys in fill percentage qualified for the State Singles Tournament.
Those five were Andrew Olson (92.57), Krachey (91.07), Austin Est (90.17), all of Sun Prairie; Zach Thomas of Madison East/Middleton/Lodi (90); and Jeromey Hodsdon of Sun Prairie (88.03).
