When USBC made dumbfounding revisions to the USBC Hall of Fame procedures in 2024, it set the bar so high that it was hard to see anyone but Matt McNiel getting elected in the near future. The new requirements included four Eagles at the USBC Open Championships, something 12 of the 23 people elected in the Outstanding USBC Performance category since it was created in 2011 did not achieve.
